It can be said that Green Net Finland (GNF) has become established speaker in the Annual Strategic Planning Leaders Forum of the Regions and Cities of Russia (“Forum Strategov”). This year the Forum is organized for the 17th time and GNF is among speakers for the 4th time.

Already in 2014, St. Petersburg city expressed their interest in the cleantech approach by establishing the international consortium St. Petersburg cleantech cluster for urban environment. GNF was the co-founder of the cluster. GNF is also managing the internalization of the cluster in Finland. In March 2016 Baltic Cleantech Alliance was established together by 3 cleantech clusters – GNF, Finnish Water Forum and Cleantech Latvia. Simultaneously GNF received a position in the board of St. Petersburg Cleantech Cluster, including a rotating chairmanchip. At the same year, on Forum Strategov in Ocotber 2016, the St. Petersburg cleantech cluster joined the Baltic Cleantech Alliance and became the member in it. In 2017 the ICSER Leontief Centre signed an agreement on collaboration and became a member of the St. Petersburg cleantech cluster for urban environment.

GNF is happy to be a part of the Forum also in year 2018. We are sharing our professional experiences on EU development projects. Within its projects and other activities, GNF is contributing to the objectives of 17 SDGs of the UN Agenda 2030. Within our development projects we are specifically contributing to the 11th (sustainable cities and communities) and the 12th (responsible consumption and production) goals.

We will disseminate our practices from the following projects, substance focuses and stakeholder networks: CB2East and BALTIC CLEANTECH ALLIANCE, Co2mmunity and RENCOPs, BSR Electric and e-bike use cases in Helsinki, HUKATON and efficient waste heat recovery, demand side management and heat storaging in the built environment, Co2mmunity and Co-producing and co-financing renewable community energy projects, RANTA and Circular Economy Aspects of Construction in Municipalities.
